On ground and in microgravity.
- A) Bubbles: Experimental and numerical studies on bubble jet dispersion, turbulence and buoyancy regions, structure of two colliding jets, influence of impact angle and separation distance, coalescence.
- B) Droplets: Liquid jet breakup and atomization, droplet bouncing and coalescence. Effects of g and flow rate in droplet size. Damped droplet oscillations. Jet impingement.
Microgravity experiments carried out at ZARM and INTA drop towers.
Applications: jet injection, bioreactors, fuel injection, sprays in microgravity.
